The buttstock is mounted with the original grooved hard rubber buttplate with a plain hard rubber grip cap on the pistol grip. Stocks are in sound condition with no heavy wear, breaks or cracks. A diamond shaped panel of checkering is present on the bottom of the forend and also is worn smooth but still visible. The checkered panels on either side of the pistol grip buttstock show wear but are still visible.
The walnut buttstock and forend have been revarnished. Sliding safety is located on the upper tang behind the opening lever. Receiver is gray in color and has a stamped image of a flying goose on either side. There is one small area on the right barrel about 8" behind the muzzle where there is a small area of roughness. LEFEVER shotgun PRICE AND HISTORICAL VALUE. The top of the right barrel is stamped "LEFEVER NITRO SPECIAL" and the left barrel is stamped "LEFEVER ARMS CO, ITHACA, N.Y." Externally, barrels have about 60% of the original blue finish with the balance worn to gray mostly on the sides nearest the receiver.
